When you start at a new university, many things change, when, in addition, this university is in a different country, the change is total.

With the aim of facilitating and supporting foreign students from the different international mobility programs of the URJC (Erasmus, Munde), the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations has just launched the 'Buddy' program.

'Buddy' has been designed to provide comprehensive support and includes various ways of accompanying these students: academic, administrative, integration, cultural support activities, etc.

According to María Luisa Humanes, vice-rector of International Relations, “the main objective is that 'Incoming' students (who come to the URJC from other countries) can integrate into academic and social life as best as possible, with the help of students like they. This will allow them to enjoy their stay to the fullest. At the same time, for URJC students it is an activity of our Internationalization program at home. It is an action that allows you to meet colleagues from other parts of the world, improve your linguistic skills, and, why not, prepare for future stays at partner universities.”

These types of initiatives allow us to offer extra attention to arriving students. In addition, they provide students at the Rey Juan Carlos University with the possibility of creating a network of international contacts in order to carry out studies in other countries.

Students who participate may obtain up to 2 RAC credits. At the Vice-Rector's Office for International Relations they hope to “have as good a reception as in other Internationalization actions such as the Mobility Days.”

Whoever wants to take part in this program can do so by filling out this form. The registration period is open until January 30. For any questions you can contact the program at this mail.

A possibility of making contact with other cultures and meeting people, which enriches the university experience.
