The university eSports competition, which is presented today, is organized by the URJC AND Algon Games and consists of a league between schools and faculties of the University that in the future intends to be expanded to an interuniversity competition. This contest aims to highlight students' skills in video games and offer them a range of opportunities for their future in the video game industry.

Algon Games is a company founded in 2017 that is dedicated to creating video game competitions and educational training in this field for public and private entities.

In addition, the event will feature a series of presentations in which the creation of the first public eSports University Extension titles in Spain will be presented. Among the speakers, Daniel Palacios Alonso, professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the URJC, stands out.

eSports are competitions that take place in the world of video games and are increasingly gaining ground in the entertainment industry. Traditionally, players would gather around a video game console to play a game for fun. However, this practice has evolved over time to become a professional, organized activity capable of bringing together players in the same event like this one.

By registering for this competition, participants will have the possibility of winning scholarships and sponsorships, in addition, they will receive an academic credit for their mere participation in the included free activities, an exclusive t-shirt and the possibility of being observed by specialized scouts.

Registration closes today at 19:00 p.m. and will be managed through this link.
