The professor from the Rey Juan Carlos University has been included in the fifth edition of the List for his training and innovative work as a teacher at the University implementing pioneering programs in Spain such as the Master in Revenue Management in Business Development and Big Data and Revenue Management in Restaurants.

'Revenue management' is a management philosophy for service companies based on the analysis of information and the appropriate management of price, capacity and sales. Although it emerged as an airline management tool in the 60s, today it is essential for tourism.

Upon receiving this recognition, Pilar Talón was surprised “since these are things that you do not expect and I am excited because it is an award granted by the industry.” In this sense, the teacher adds that the University's objective is “to be in permanent contact with the professional tourism sector.”

Another aspect that the winner highlights is the evolution of the presence of women in this type of recognition, “it is an achievement that female talent is taken into account, since in the first edition of the award given by 'SERGESTUR' there were 17 women nominated , and in this call there are 47.”

SERGESTUR (Tourism Management Services) is a consulting firm located in the Canary Islands, specialized in management and repositioning of tourist real estate assets. The company's management highlights that the objective of this list is "to create a relationship of professionals who are leaders in the national tourism sector, for their good work, their contributions, their communications, their facts, their knowledge and their actions."

Pilar Talón works as a teacher in the area of Marketing and Market Research and is part of the high-performance research group in Biomedical Engineering and Data Science at the URJC. Throughout her career she has published numerous books and scientific articles in publishing houses.
