The Swedish University, member of the alliance of universities 'EULiST', to which the URJC belongs, visited the University yesterday, January 25, with the aim of strengthening collaboration between both institutions.

The foreign delegation, made up of 15 representatives of Jönköping University, was led by its rector, Agneta Marell, who was received by the rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos, who led the URJC delegation. In addition to the representatives of EULiST, led by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, María Luisa Humanes, members of different vice-rectors, faculties and schools of the URJC also participated.

During the morning, the Swedes had the opportunity to learn about the Faculty of Health Sciences, presented in detail by its Dean, Professor Carlos Goicoechea. Later, they were received by the director of the University Clinic, Daniel Álvarez, and there they visited the facilities and laboratories. Simultaneously, parallel meetings took place with representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences, of the Vice-Rector's Office for Research, Innovation and Transfer, as well as the Vice-Rector's Office for Digital Transformation and Education and the Information Technologies Area.

In the afternoon, the delegation moved to the Fuenlabrada campus, where they had the opportunity to visit Laboratory VI in the Fuenlabrada School of Engineering and Laboratory 1, where the film's radio sets and studios are located. Faculty of communication sciences. Likewise, parallel meetings were held with representatives of the Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, as well as the International Doctoral School.

In the words of the two rectors, this visit has not only consolidated the ties between Jönköping University and the URJC, but has also laid the foundations for future collaborations within the 'EULiST' alliance in the academic and research field, allowing all members of the university communities achieve excellence.

Jönköping University is a young university characterized by maintaining close collaboration with companies and society, and also a high degree of internationalization. It has around 11.000 students, of which 1.960 are international students. It is organized into four centers: School of Health and Welfare, the School of Education and Communication, the Jönköping International Business School and the School of Engineering.

EULIST, (European Universities Linking Society and Technology), was born in 2020 within the framework of the "European Universities" initiative, launched by the European Commission, with the aim of modernizing higher education in Europe in a global and lasting way. 10 European universities participate in this alliance, including the two that took part in yesterday's event.
