The Rey Juan Carlos University, as has happened on previous occasions, has participated in this event in different ways.

In this edition, the role of the representatives of the Rey Juan Carlos University at the fair has been to collaborate with the stand of the Hotel Technological Institute (ITH) and Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations (CEHAT). In this way, the students have contributed to the dissemination of the latest innovations in the world of hotels in information points such as those of the 'FiturTechy' forum.

'FiturTechy' is the FITUR space, developed by ITH, where the future of the sector is discussed, this year under the motto “Total Challenge”, it aims to transform current standards and find a balance between technological efficiency, artificial intelligence and sustainability.

It should be noted that, during the course of the event, the URJC tourism students had the opportunity to talk with the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu.

FITUR, held at the IFEMA venue, is the first annual event for global tourism professionals and the leading fair for the inbound and outbound markets of Latin America. This event represents a forum to promote brands, present new products and learn about the latest trends in the international tourism sector.
