During this week, almost 100 representatives from universities from 16 countries have visited different campuses of the Rey Juan Carlos University. This edition of the International Staff Week has had as its distinctive point the presence of academic, administrative and service personnel from the EULiST alliance and the partner universities of the K-171 program, from Bosnia Herzegovina, the United States, Tanzania, Puerto Rico, Paraguay and Mauritius Islands.

Monday's day began with the inauguration in the assembly hall of the Rectorate building, which was attended by representatives of the URJC faculties and schools, in addition to the participants in the ISW. This event was chaired by Rector Javier Ramos, who pointed out “the importance of promoting international cooperation from universities in a common mission: sharing knowledge, instruments and strategies to train the generation of the future with guarantees.” At the same event, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, María Luisa Humanes, focused on the importance of engaging the university community in the internationalization process. Finally, the director of the Internationalization area, Pablo Salvadores, gave a general presentation of the URJC. The first day ended with sessions of the different working groups of the EULiST alliance and a working lunch in which representatives of all the faculties and schools of the URJC were able to network with their colleagues from the partner universities.

On Tuesday the delegations visited the Aranjuez Campus, where they first learned about the educational offer and facilities of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. They moved to the Hospital San Carlos building where the presentations of the partner universities of the Rey Juan Carlos University that participate in the K-171 ERASMUS+ program were made. Next, the Vice-Rector for Transformation and Digital Education and Artificial Intelligence, César Cáceres, presented the comprehensive application plan for Power U artificial intelligence.

On Wednesday, the participants visited the Fuenlabrada Campus where they visited the different laboratories of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, the Faculty of CC of Education and Sports and Interdisciplinary Studies and the School of Engineering of Fuenlabrada, and had the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge with teachers and researchers.

The final day on Thursday the 29th focused on the Móstoles Campus, where our partners visited the CAT and its different laboratories, which support the research and teaching of the Higher School of Experimental Sciences and Technology and the Higher Technical School of Engineering. Computing.

There was also time for a social program that consisted of a guided tour of historic Madrid and a private visit to the Prado Museum that included a musical repertoire by the University orchestra.
