The event, organized by the AI Association of the URJC, aim to create a space for debate and reflection using an 'Open Mic' format in which all participants have the same opportunities to participate. In this way, attendees will be able to share their ideas about the role of philosophy in artificial intelligence. The activity will cover topics such as ethics, art, philosophy of mind and the economic-social implications of the use of AI, among other aspects.

By adopting an open microphone format, the conference allows everyone present to become active participants in the debate, contributing to the discussion and enriching the dialogue. To lead the course of the conversation, the members of the association and students of the University, Aislynn Alciviades Narvaez and José Walter Hernández, who already have experience in international conferences on AI and will be in charge of asking the appropriate questions to the participants to go deeper into each of the topics.

The Association's management states that the objective of the event is “to bring artificial intelligence closer to society.” Furthermore, they add that: “In this case specifically, we seek to raise awareness about the social and philosophical implications of these tools.”

The URJC AI student association emerged in 2022 when a group of students from the first class of the URJC artificial intelligence degree, motivated to find a new study program and at a time of complete revolution in the field of AI, they decided to create their own horizontal space where they could explore and learn about AI. Founded in January 2023, it has participated in various international debates, organizing its first workshop/contest titled 'Introduction to fine-tuning: create your own AI without knowing how to program', which was extremely well received, exceeding initial expectations.

Registrations can be done through this link, will remain open until the start day of the event. Students who participate will obtain 0,2 ECTS credits.
