On March 20 and 21, the Rey Juan Carlos University hosted the 'transnational meeting' of the 'Scaffolding Online University Learning: Support Systems' (SOULSS) project. “The project is studying the situation of European university teaching in online mode in relation to the time of confinement to see possible lines of action and improvement” explains Alberto Hernando, principal researcher of the project on behalf of the URJC.

This project has been coordinated by the University of Rome, in addition to having the participation of institutions such as 'Brainsigns', the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, the Kaunas University of Technology, the National Technical University of Athens and Sapienza.

“The fundamental objective of the project is to provide higher education teachers with knowledge and tools to be able to function in online and hybrid teaching modalities,” says Natalia Candorcio, project researcher.

“To do this, we try to calculate how these teaching models have impacted the classroom, especially since COVID, which forced students and teachers to urgently adapt to them, to then be able to create a training course based on their specific needs” highlights Candorcio, who explains that the MOOC will be available on the project platform.
