The Fuenlabrada campus hosts a conference on the situation in Gaza

The Fuenlabrada campus will offer the conference by Francesca Albanese, United Nations rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, in a joint event with universities from all over Spain. The event is organized by the University Network for Palestine.

The event will begin at 11:45 in the Graduate Hall of the Fuenlabrada campus. The conference, which is titled 'The University in the Face of Genocide' will take place at 12 and in it, Albanese will present an analysis of the situation in Gaza and the West Bank in the light of International Law through the report 'Anatomy of a Genocide'. ', prepared by the rapporteur, in which she concludes that "there are reasonable grounds to believe that the threshold that reveals the commission of the crime of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza has been reached."

The conference will be presented by the director of the Observatory for Analysis and Visibility of Social Exclusion, Silvia Giménez, the professor of the Arab and Islamic Studies area of ​​the FCEDEI, Tarek Khedr and, on behalf of the Diversity Unit, professor Cristina Fernández Laso.
