The Rey Juan Carlos University celebrates this year the 25th anniversary of its Summer courses, offering programming characterized by thematic plurality and scientific and academic rigor. The Courses will take place from June 24 to July 5, taking place on the Aranjuez, Móstoles, Fuenlabrada and Madrid campuses. For one more edition, registration will be free and ECTS credits will be granted.

To commemorate this anniversary, the poster has been made by the illustrator Fernando Vicente. Having won three Award of Excellence awards from the Society for News Design for his work for his publications in the newspaper El País and its various supplements, his collaborations in the cultural Babelia being of special importance. His designs have also appeared in magazines such as Europa Viva, Ronda Iberia, Lápiz, Rock de Lux, Vogue, Playboy, Gentleman, Letras Libres, Interviú, Cosmopolitan or DT.

According to Vicente, the poster “celebrates an anniversary, since that is what I based it on to create it. In it we see a series of young people studying, reading or working. A visual metaphor of what the university represents. All within a book that is an invitation to read and enter that pedagogical world.” The author also comments that he has used an acrylic technique on paper, “a traditional method.”

In addition to his work for the daily press and magazines, Fernando Vicente has created book and album covers, as well as illustrations for more than twenty books, both aimed at children and young people as well as adults.
