It is not just any edition. The URJC Summer Courses are 25 years old. Like every year and this edition was not going to be less, the summer training offer (June 24-July 5) of the URJC focuses on the major issues that concern society. In this case, the two most important thematic areas are international politics, with courses on different contexts such as Ukraine, Gaza or Latin America, and Artificial Intelligence, which will also be addressed in two seminars. Likewise, there will be courses, among other subjects, on circular economy, entrepreneurship and innovation. Culture and music will also be very present in the programming.

As always happens with the URJC summer courses, this twenty-fifth edition will feature important personalities from culture, politics and high State institutions.

According to Cristina del Prado, academic director of the Summer Courses, “we have reached the 2000th anniversary of the Summer Courses. During all this time we have managed to maintain an activity that began in XNUMX with a very small program and that is increasingly consolidated among the summer programs of the different universities in Spain.

In this edition the URJC has scheduled a total of 26 courses in two weeks. Most of them will be held on the Aranjuez campus and, as a novelty, Cristina Del Prado explains, “we have once again incorporated the workshops into the programming, we will have a Dance workshop with María Pagés, Princess of Asturias Prize for the Arts in 2022 and an introductory session to musical theater.”

This year, in addition, to promote a spirit of coexistence and closeness between students and speakers, the URJC has launched a total of 15 accommodation scholarships per course "both speakers and students always highlight the closeness that is experienced in our Summer Courses "They feel the URJC as their home," says Del Prado, adding that these courses would not be possible "without the support of the Vice-Rector for Culture, Sports and Campus Community and its vice-rector Mercedes Del Hoyo."

A unique opportunity in the year to learn in depth about the most important topics of the current time from the best speakers.
