Do you want to be a Mediator? Do you want to acquire or develop a new professional facet through mediation to resolve conflicts? Now you can.
In compliance with the requirements established in Royal Legislative Decree 980/2013, of December 13, which develops certain aspects of Law 5/2012, of July 6, on mediation in civil and commercial matters, the specific training described in this Own Title of Expert in Mediation is aimed at obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary for the professional practice of mediation, both at a theoretical and practical level, and its corresponding evaluation. It is a professional opportunity, open to any profile, designed for you.
Its content is fundamentally practical. It is a course taught entirely by professional mediators aimed at training mediators who access this profession. For this reason, its content is eminently practical and provides the necessary tools for students to be trained as mediators and to be able to practice professionally as such.
Objectives
- Know, identify and enhance the skills of the professional mediator.
- Acquire the necessary knowledge to correctly develop mediation functions.
- Acquire and develop, through practical sessions, the experience and skills necessary to correctly carry out their functions.
- Apply coaching techniques aimed at mediation and conflict resolution.
- Use NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) in mediation and different communication techniques.
- Know how to use simplified mediation procedures by electronic means.
- Work on real cases and in the search for solutions applicable to daily practice and professional practice.
- Provide the necessary tools so that students are trained as mediators and can practice professionally as such.
- Obtain the qualities required by the European Union Directives for mediation in the member countries.
- Delve into the identity and functions of the mediator, from a general and necessary scope for them to obtain the title and, later, if they wish, to specialize, through other Courses offered by the URJC, in the different types of mediation that they intend to carry out: community, family, criminal, commercial, bankruptcy, labor, inheritance, insurance, electronics, international, etc.

Recipients
Graduates, graduates, diploma holders, university graduates and professionals with qualifications interested in professional training with the Title of Expert in Mediation and being able to practice as a mediator. It is a professional opportunity open to any profile.
In any case, it is aimed at graduates who want to start or develop their career as a professional mediator and anyone with an interest in learning about, experimenting with and developing new conflict management techniques, as well as students who wish to specialize in mediation.
Any professional group that sees conflicts arise that end up being prosecuted or harming any relationship (professional, business, personal, etc.) and that is capable of recognizing the causes and acting to manage them will be able to carry out this mediation activity. Consequently, no professional or graduate is excluded: lawyers, criminologists, economists, engineers, medical professions, etc.
Annotation: Students who have not yet finished their degree will be able to take this degree, making it compatible with their studies and obtaining the Degree. Only, it cannot be delivered to them until they finish their undergraduate studies.

Students with a degree obtained from a Spanish university or a Higher Education Institution belonging to another Member State of the European Higher Education Area that provides access to continuing education courses must submit the following documentation:
- National Identity Document or equivalent
- University Degree of the studies that give you access to the requested postgraduate degree. *
- Curriculum vitae
- Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format
- Any other document required by the Academic Department of Continuing Education for acceptance.
Students with foreign qualifications must submit the following documentation:
- Passport or Residence Card
- Foreign Higher Education Degree (Graduate, Bachelor's Degree, Architect, Engineer, Doctor...) that gives access to continuing education studies. *

* A university degree (bachelor's or bachelor's degree) is required to access both Master's and Expert and Specialist courses. However, on some occasions the possibility is considered for people without a previous university degree but who can demonstrate professional experience related to the subject of the course to access it.
This possibility must be included in the corresponding academic report and will be subject in all cases to the decision of the Course Director. People who access through this route will only receive a Diploma or a Certificate of University Extension depending on the case.
