Competencies of the Vice President

The Office of the Vice-Rector for Transformation and Digital Education coordinates and supervises, under the direction of the Rector, the following matters:

  • The governance and management of corporate ICTs and the Center for Teaching Innovation and Digital Education, as well as their alignment with the university's strategy.
  • Facilitate the digitization of the university by additionally giving technological support to digital transformation projects that take place both within the university community itself and in a collaborative inter-university manner.
  • Promotion and promotion of the use of ICT in the university, giving impetus to electronic administration.
  • Promotion of security and privacy of corporate information.
  • Development and promotion of innovation actions in digital education to improve academic practices in teaching.
  • Management of infrastructures for methodological and technological support for teaching, and institutional intelligence.
  • Coordination and monitoring of hybrid, blended and distance learning courses and qualifications.

  • Design and implementation of the DOCENTIA Program for evaluating the teaching of the URJC faculty
  • Promote specific curricular structures for teaching innovation, according to Royal Decree 822/2021, which establishes the organization of university education and its quality assurance procedure

  • Promote the implementation in classrooms of didactic methodologies that promote active and contextualized learning and that contribute to improving student learning results, and that increase their motivation towards the learning process

Antonio Julio López Galisteo. Deputy Vice-Rector for Institutional Training

Competencies:

  • Identify the institutional training needs of the PDI, PTGAS and student groups.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate and evaluate the proposals for the PDI Training Plan.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate and evaluate proposals for the PTGAS Training Plan.
  • Communicate the proposals for training actions to the joint training tables of the PDI and PTGAS.
  • Coordinate Institutional Mentoring actions and plans.


Jaime Urquiza Fuentes. Academic Director of the Center for Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (CIED)

Competencies:

  • Plan, develop, coordinate and evaluate all the activities of the Center for Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (CIED).
  • Coordinate the design and production of materials, resources and digital content (audiovisual and multimedia) for teaching in face-to-face, blended and distance learning modalities, as well as open training, through eLearning environments such as Virtual Classroom or URJCx.
  • Design, coordinate and evaluate the Educational Innovation Plan, the Teaching Innovation Groups and the Educational Innovation Projects.
  • Promote and develop research projects in the field of digital education.


Micael Gallego Carrillo. Academic Director of the Digital Transformation Program

Competencies:

  • Promotion and promotion of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) at the URJC.
  • Supervise privacy and information security policies together with the technical managers and the security committee.
  • Coordinate corporate developments and applications to improve the agility of digital processes and services.
  • Supervise the correct functioning of the central and campus ICT infrastructures: systems, communications, audiovisuals and microcomputing.
  • Promote the use of ICT in relation to teaching, research and institutional intelligence.


Luisa Eugenia Reyes Recio. Academic Director of Artificial Intelligence and Process Optimization

 Competencies:

  • Prepare and coordinate the implementation of the URJC's AI-based transformation plan: PowerU.
  • Promotion and promotion of the use of Artificial Intelligence by the university community.
  • Design, develop and evaluate procedures for optimizing processes within the URJC.
  • Communication and dissemination of the university's AI strategies and process optimization.


Raquel Montes Díez. Academic Director of Analytical Intelligence

Competencies:

  • Support the Vice-Rector's intelligent data analysis.
  • Design and coordinate analytical intelligence actions of the university.
  • Promotion and promotion of learning analytics in university teaching.
  • Coordination of the actions necessary to promote institutional intelligence at the URJC.
