Basic Information
Introduction
Physical activity in nature has gained widespread popularity in recent years due to a growing awareness of both the physical and mental benefits that this practice offers.
In recent years, numerous studies have demonstrated the positive effects of physical activity in the natural environment. Exposure to nature and outdoor exercise have been associated with physical health benefits, such as cardiovascular strengthening and improved endurance, as well as mental health benefits, such as reduced anxiety and depression . In this way, the natural environment is emerging as an ideal environment for promoting habits and developing skills of great relevance from a personal and professional point of view.
In the professional field, physical activity in nature should promote active and sustainable leisure, offering enriching and environmentally friendly experiences. In this sense, the aim is to train professionals to offer authentic and responsible experiences in natural environments, which benefits both local communities and the environment.
From a cultural point of view, physical activity in nature encourages a deeper appreciation of the natural world and a greater connection with the environment. On many occasions, modern society has lost contact with nature, and it is essential to reconnect with the beauty and serenity of nature, generating greater respect and awareness about the importance of its conservation in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
On the other hand, physical activities in nature encourage teamwork, cooperation and effective communication. Group activities in natural environments can promote the development of valuable social and emotional skills both personally and professionally. In this sense, one of the most relevant capabilities in the professional field is leadership.
Leadership development is of great relevance due to the growing social demand and the scientific, professional and cultural interest surrounding this skill. In today's society, we constantly seek to train effective leaders capable of addressing challenges in various areas. Specifically, leadership development contributes to:
- New generation of leaders for a society that is constantly looking for effective leaders who can address current and future challenges with the skills and knowledge necessary to guide their teams, organizations and communities towards success and progress.
- Adaptation to social changes in a world that is constantly evolving, with technological, social and political changes that impact the way we lead. In this sense, the ability to adapt to these changes and lead in changing contexts, promoting flexibility and the ability to innovate, is especially relevant.
- Improving organizational performance by optimizing the performance and productivity of organizations through the development of competencies to improve the management and direction skills of leaders.
- Promoting assertive communication, active listening and persuasion skills, which allows leaders to transmit their vision effectively and achieve the commitment of their team.
- Development of human talent by promoting a more positive and motivating work environment, which can increase employee satisfaction and retention.
- Promotion of ethical, inclusive and social responsibility values in organizations, creating a positive impact both internally and externally.
