Last spring we met her through the media, on the television news we saw the image of a young Sudanese university student dressed in a white tunic and addressing her compatriots to fight against the dictatorial regime of her country. The image went viral and her message too, this 22-year-old architecture student became the example for many women who have followed her since then and who are known as the Kandakas, a title given to the queens of ancient Sudan .
On the occasion of a trip to our country to participate on the 10th in an act for the promotion of women's rights, on International Human Rights Day, she has been interested in having a meeting with young university students and Thanks to the work carried out by Elena Peribáñez through the Chair of the History of Institutions and the support of the Dean's Office, the event has been able to take place at our University.
It will be at 16:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, at the Carmelo Mercado Seminary and anyone who wishes can attend without prior registration.
