International recognition to Professor Amador Cernuda for his research work

At the International Congress on Drugs and Alcoholism held at the prestigious University of Medical Sciences in Guantánamo, Cuba, Professor Amador Cernuda was recognized with his appointment as an Honorary Member of the Cuban Society of Health Psychology.

Professor Amador Cernuda has been recognized with the appointment of Honorary Member of the Cuban Society of Health Psychology, valuing and honoring his contributions to the science of Psychology and for his life's work. During the participation in the IV International Congress of Toxic Habits and Health held at the University of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo (Cuba), in which the top specialists in prevention and treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism from more than 58 countries have participated.

The visibility and participation of the Rey Juan Carlos University has been highlighted for having presented thirteen doctors and researchers linked to our university, presentations on innovation in the treatment and prevention of drug addiction and alcoholism problems with the use of the arts as a complementary complement to treatment (psychoballet, dance, flamenco, equine therapy...), work carried out at the Alicia Alonso University Institute of Dance, where this line of research and clinical applications has been developed for several years directed by Dr. Cernuda.

During this conference, Professor Cernuda shared a table with the Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Esquivel and was invited to give a keynote speech entitled: "Dual Pathology: problems of eating disorders and drug addiction in high-performance sports and artistic environments" in quality of his recent appointment as International Professor Honorary Member of the Chair of Drug Addiction Prevention and Treatment at the University of Medical Sciences of Guantánamo. The congress had an important following of the Press and several International Televisions.
