Last Saturday, the local phase of the XII Madrid Economics Olympiad was held, in which more than 800 high school students from all over the Community participated. The tests took place in the five public universities of the community: Autonomous University of Madrid, King Juan Carlos University, Complutense University of Madrid, University of Alcalá and Carlos III University.

Some of these students met on the Madrid-Vicálvaro campus of our Faculty and were delighted with the experience. We had the opportunity to chat with two of these students from the JH Newman International School who told how, after their teacher's proposal and motivating them to do so, they decided to take part in the Olympics, as it was a way for them to test their knowledge of the subject for the EvaAU. In addition, regarding their perception of the difficulty of the exam, they commented that they saw it as quite accessible and surmountable.

After these tests have been carried out, they will be corrected and in a few weeks the results of the winners of the final phase in Madrid will be published, who will represent the community in the national phase that will take place at the University of Alcalá de Henares between June 21 and 23.
