I Meeting with legal professionals from the URJC title of legal assistant for people with intellectual disabilities.

Avelina Alía Robles, Prosecutor attached to the Specialized Unit for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly, will star on the 13th of the first of the meetings with legal professionals organized within the framework of the "Legal Assistant" course for people with intellectual disabilities

This course is a pioneering initiative in Europe, promoted by the URJC in collaboration with the Esfera Foundation and Deloitte Legal, whose purpose is the legal training of people with intellectual disabilities and the promotion of quality employment, favoring their future inclusion in the environment employment as support staff in the tasks of a law firm or legal consultancy.

The cycle of "Legal Brunches" aims to bring, in a relaxed way, the reality of the different legal professions to the students of the course. We will begin by learning more about the recently created Specialized Unit for the protection of people with disabilities and the elderly. Students will have the opportunity to learn how this Unit works and what its purpose is from Avelina Alía, to whom they will present their proposals to improve care for people with intellectual disabilities.
