The URJC Charity Padel Tournament is back

After its suspension in 2020, the Sports Service resumes this initiative that combines sport and solidarity. To participate, each couple donates a new toy that this year will go to the Rey Juan Carlos Hospital in Móstoles.

The sports facilities of the Alcorcón Campus of the Rey Juan Carlos University host the 9th URJC Charity Padel Tournament from November 12 to December XNUMX, an initiative that aims to be an example of the combination of sport, solidarity and commitment.

After its suspension in 2020, the Sports Service now resumes this activity aimed at the URJC university community and external athletes. Registration consists of the donation of a new toy per couple, which will go to the Rey Juan Carlos Hospital in Móstoles. The Tournament will have a single category and will be played with a group phase and a final phase between November and December.

Each group will have a day assigned for the competition and couples will be able to choose several preferred days of play (Tuesday November 9, Thursday 11, Tuesday 16 and Thursday 18 in the morning; and Saturday November 13 and November 20 in the afternoon ). The final phase will start on Monday, November 22 and the final will be held on Sunday, December 12 in the morning.

Awards

The couple that wins the first prize will enjoy a lunch or dinner at the El Bohío restaurant (Illescas, Toledo), a physiotherapy session at the URJC University Clinic, a University tracksuit and a champions trophy. The runner-up couple will receive a dental cleaning by the URJC University Clinic, another tracksuit with the institutional brand and a runner-up trophy.

All those interested in collaborating with the children of the Rey Juan Carlos Hospital in Móstoles and who are unable or do not wish to play in the tournament, may bring a toy to the Móstoles Sports Service, or to the Alcorcón Campus sports facilities.
