A total of 9 students from the Video Game Design and Development degree have recently traveled to the German city of Cologne, on the occasion of the celebration of the international video game fair 'GamesCom'.

Aarón Sujar, professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior in Informatics Engineering, has accompanied the students, "the trip has helped them to begin to see what the industry and the path is like when they develop games, above all they have been able to make contacts with companies and with industry people."

In addition, the students have been able to learn about the news from the major studios and the latest trends in the world of 'indie' videogames.

"The students were quite happy and have been able to teach the games that they have developed by exchanging experiences with other players in the industry."

In addition, Sújar points out, "it was possible to publicize the master's degree and the degree at the fair and how prepared the URJC students come out."

The trip has been made possible thanks to funding from the ETSII and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation and Transfer.

The 'GamesCom' took place in Cologne from 23 to 27 August. It is the most important video game industry meeting in the world today.
