This course on Techniques for Live Television focuses on the current news and infotainment programs of both public and private TV grids. The aim is for the student to learn to structure their speech before the camera and achieve the fluidity, expressiveness and naturalness that this type of television format requires.

Objectives

The objective of the course is to ensure that the student is capable not only of making a direct show for television correctly, but also that he knows and acquires the necessary skills to reach the viewer, that is, to communicate.

Currently, most television journalists start in the profession with little or no basis, and learn and improve with their own professional practice after watching their live broadcasts over and over again. The idea is that students leave the course with much of that learning already done.

Understand why direct television is used and what for depending on the news, what is the role of the reporter or editor in each circumstance.

1._Construction of direct television

Topic 1. 1._Discourse: structure and language

Exposition of guidelines to structure the speech of the reporter or editor before the camera, in order to make it effective and in turn contain the appropriate internal connections so that it is fluid and the desired naturalness is achieved. We will also see what language is used and the expressions that should be avoided.

Topic 1.2. Environment: planning, interaction with objects, landscapes or individuals. 

Live approaches based on the environment in which the reporter or editor is and the topic they address, since both factors will determine whether camera movements will be made, if an object will be used or if someone will be interacted with to enrich the intervention.

  • Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format

Students with a foreign degree must present the following documentation:

  • Passport or Residence Card
  • Foreign Higher Education Degree (Graduate, Graduate, Architect, Engineer Doctor...) that give access to own postgraduate degree studies.
  • Certificate certifying that the studies carried out give access to an Official Postgraduate Degree in your country of origin, issued by the University of origin
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Declaration of the person responsible for the veracity of the data provided in digital format
  • Any other document that the Director of the Own Title specifically requires for its acceptance

Applicants with studies completed in foreign University Centers may be requested at any time a certificate of verification of these studies and centers, issued by an authorized Institution.
