The Technological Support Center of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CAT) is an administrative and management unit whose main purpose is to provide scientific and technological support to the research and practical training needs of the URJC and, in the second instance, of its socioeconomic environment.

What is CAT?
Introduction
The Technological Support Center of the Rey Juan Carlos University (hereinafter CAT) is defined as an administrative and management unit dependent on the Vice-rectorate responsible for Research, whose main purpose is to provide scientific and technological support to the needs of Research and Practical training of the URJC and in the second instance, of its socioeconomic environment.
Objectives
- Support for teaching, as an instrument for carrying out internships for students of the different degrees of the University itself.
- Support for research, as technological support for research projects led by the different departments or areas of the University.
- Technical assistance to surrounding companies.
- Training, by conducting courses and seminars for technicians and specialists related to the different units that make up the CAT.
Features
The main functions of the CAT are the following:
- It carries out scientific support tasks at the service of the Teaching and Research Staff.
- Performs teaching support tasks at the service of the Teaching and Research Staff.
- In collaboration with the business sector, it carries out applied research tasks to provide innovative solutions.
- Promotes comprehensive training actions.
- It promotes the visualization of its infrastructures to society in general, at a local, national and international level.
- Promotes the implementation and development of new technologies in all its activities
