This 2019 edition will take place from November 20 to 22 at the Central de Diseño / Matadero Madrid, organized by DIMAD (Fundación Diseño Madrid).

The final degree project Packaging adapted to people with visual disabilities. A path towards inclusive social design from a sensory point of viewby Yurena Rivero Sánchez has been selected to participate in the exhibition 50 talents. Ideas for a better worldan initiative that includes unique projects that challenge society, the discipline and generate new visions of existing problems. The design that is born of utopias and with the hope of well-being on the horizon.

The work presents an inclusive social design solution of a sensory nature in the face of the situation of people with visual disabilities who live in a society that forces them to lead a dependent life due to the difficulties they must face, as a consequence of the lack of accessibility to consumer products.

In order to carry out the design proposal resulting from this work, tutored by Professor Mónica Garrié Faget, research has been carried out on vision problems, as well as the way the sense of touch acts, thus understanding perception. haptics as one of the main ways of communication for these people.

All the design guidelines set by ONCE have also been considered, as well as by those specialized in this field of study, so that the design manages to facilitate accessibility for those groups of people who still have the rest of their vision. The design, therefore, has taken into account design for all, in order to ensure that all people can access consumer products without feeling discriminated against.
