The economics Olympics are organized by the University of Alcalá, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Rey Juan Carlos University, the Complutense University of Madrid and the Carlos III University. This is an academic competition for students who are enrolled in the 2nd year of Baccalaureate during the current academic year in centers of the Community of Madrid and neighboring provinces attached to Madrid universities for the purposes of the EVAU. This activity tries to motivate and stimulate the study of Economics and Business among the youngest students.

This first local phase, in which forty-four Faculties of Economics and Business participate, will make it possible to meet the fifteen best students who will go on to the national final phase, which this year will take place at the Pablo de Olavide University from June 20 to 22.
