The WomenCEO Association and the URJC in collaboration with the Banco Sabadell Foundation launch the second edition of the course 'Women for business leadership'. This is a training in leadership skills that will be taught at the Madrid Campus from January 31 to April. The best student will opt for a scholarship to develop her project in the Imagine program, in Silicon Valley, during the month of July.
This initiative is the result of an agreement between the University Clinic Foundation of the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Fuenlabrada City Council. During 2018, minors between 8 and 14 years of age from the local educational centers will be served.

Two new animal-assisted intervention titles

The Office of Assisted Interventions with Animals (OIAA) of the URJC has created the qualifications of Expert and Technician in this type of therapeutic intervention. They can be taken from February and March, respectively.

The URJC Hangar, a step forward in Aeronautics

The Rey Juan Carlos University has recently set up a hangar on the Fuenlabrada Campus. The infrastructure allows students of degrees related to Aerospace Engineering to put into practice what they have learned in the classroom, with the most complete equipment.
Since 2005, the University Clinic of the Rey Juan Carlos University has provided medical services at the Alcorcón Campus. More than 200 professionals work at this Teaching and Research Support Center during the year. With the remodeling of their website, they created a current blog in which they include service information, news and their training offer.

Christmas at the 'Alicia Alonso' Institute

One more year the 'Alicia Alonso' University Institute of Dance (IUDAA) of the URJC has interpreted the classic Christmas story 'The Nutcracker' during the month of December. In all the sessions they have filled the more than 700 seats of the Tomás y Valiente Theater in Fuenlabrada.
The Chair has presented its 2017 awards. The winners have been the student, Ana de Mingo Martínez; the professor, Rogelio Alonso, and the magazine The International Journal of Intelligence, Security and Public Affairs.
The management of the 'Alicia Alonso' University Institute of Dance (IUDAA) attended the delivery of the European Theater Awards in Rome last week. Taking advantage of the visit to the neighboring country, they attended the last meeting of the Regional Executive International Theater Council; World Organization for the Performing Arts/UNESCO together with a total of 26 European countries.
The Rey Juan Carlos University is characterized by being located on different campuses located in different municipalities of the Community of Madrid. For this reason, holidays and hours vary depending on the location and even the degree, that is, they are not common to all centres. Award ceremony for photography and short story

This Thursday morning the best works of the photography and short story contest were officially recognized at the Móstoles Campus of the Rey Juan Carlos University. From now on, these works will be exhibited on the URJC campuses where each of the winners study for their degree.
The objective of the agreement signed yesterday, December 20, between the two institutions is to work together to promote good management practices for the transparency of knowledge in this field.
The Official College of Teachers annually recognizes the best Master's Thesis (TFM) of students from all Madrid universities and future education professionals. Out of a total of 64 projects presented, the second prize for the best TFM in Secondary Education Teacher Training went to the Rey Juan Carlos University student, Benjamín Perianes, and his teacher, Raquel Hijón Neira.

Art to promote inclusion, on the Madrid Campus

The Rey Juan Carlos University, in collaboration with the Madrid Social Assistance Agency of the Community of Madrid, organizes an exhibition in which you can enjoy the works made by people with intellectual disabilities from the CAM and students of various degrees from the URJC.
The URJC Care Unit for People with Disabilities (UAD), in collaboration with the ONCE Foundation, has promoted a talk on diversity and inclusion for the URJC management. Yesterday afternoon, this motivational activity was led by the elite Paralympic athlete and trainer, Álvaro Galán.
