More than 2.000 students visit UNITOUR Madrid

The Novotel Madrid Center hosts the 40th UNITOUR University Orientation Hall this Tuesday. From their own stands, the Rey Juan Carlos University, and another 2.000 Spanish universities and training centers advise some XNUMX high school students. The objective is to offer useful information to young people so that they can decide what their university future will be.
After having registered an average attendance of 100 students per session in the last edition, the seminar once again analyzes the relationship between the Constitution, democracy and the Parliamentary Monarchy. In this edition, in addition to figures from law and politics, intellectuals from literature and philosophy will participate.
The activity is aimed at improving our students' programming skills and will be held from January 26 to March 23 on the Móstoles campus.
Researchers from the URJC Cyberimaginary group will give different presentations on the role of communication in the development of creative cities. The objective of the congress is to highlight the importance of creative and innovative thinking in the development of cities.
On February 20 and 22, the 'GameGen' conferences give video game fans the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the sector. The event is organized by the association of students of the Video Game Design and Development Degree, Virtual Soul, and will take place at the Móstoles Campus.

More than 50 tourism students collaborate in FITUR

About 60 tourism students will visit the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) this year. Exceptionally, they will do so as assistants at FITURTECH and will collaborate with the World Tourism Organization between January 17 and 21 at the Madrid Trade Fair Institution (IFEMA). The initiative has been possible thanks to the coordinators of the URJC Tourism degrees.
Today, January 11, the elections for the Faculty Board have been called in the Faculty of Communication Sciences. The vote will take place on February 8.  
The KPMG-URJC Chair in Financial and Forensic Investigation commemorates the six years of the Master in Economic Criminal Law with a series of classes open to the public. An expert in criminal intelligence will give the second session, on February 1, at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences (FCJS) of the Madrid Campus. The previous one was held in November and registered a hundred participants.
The Rey Juan Carlos University and another 40 study centers and universities in Madrid will advise high school students on January 16 regarding their university future. They will do it in the XII edition of the University Orientation Hall 'UNITOUR'. An event organized by the Círculo de Formación consultancy that covers twenty Spanish cities, five Italian cities, two Portuguese cities and Andorra.

Open the term to do paid internships at Disney

On January 18, the 2018-2019 edition of the international mobility program 'A Magical Opportunity' will be presented. The program is the result of collaboration between the Rey Juan Carlos University, Disney International Programs and the University of California-Riverside and includes paid internships in the United States.
The digital media Genbeta, from the Weblogs company, has classified the 100 best courses of 2017 taught in public and private university centers, and in other platforms and academic institutions. The list highlights six from the Rey Juan Carlos University that deal with entrepreneurship, micro and macroeconomics, big data, neuroscience, and writing texts in Humanities and Social Sciences.

The URJC values ​​women Nobel laureates

The III Humanistic Training Seminar reviews some of the most important female figures in the history of the Nobel Prize, in its Literature and Peace categories. It will be held at the Fuenlabrada, Madrid and Aranjuez Campuses.
In the project for the technological transformation of Aranjuez, in addition to the URJC, the town council, the ADINA association and the technology company Spika Tech participate. The signatories today have committed to working for a more sustainable city that promotes welfare and citizen participation. The agreement lasts four years and also affects the Royal Site of Aranjuez.

The URJC at the 'Madrid Fashion Week'

On January 25, a new edition of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) arrives at the Institución Ferial de Madrid (IFEMA). The event will last until the 29th. During that week, the Rey Juan Carlos University will have its own stand, where design students will conduct interviews with influential people in the world of fashion.
