Despite his youth, David has a solid academic background and a marked interest in the field of research that he discovered after obtaining a Master's degree in Interactive Computing and Multimedia. Therefore, he decided to take the Master's Degree in Information Systems Engineering and later enroll in the Doctoral Program in Interactive Computing and Multimedia at URJC; in which he will deposit his thesis in April 2017 “if everything goes well”, he tells us verbatim.

He combines the completion of his doctoral thesis with the work of a researcher in training at the UAM. He has also collaborated on various research projects, publications in scientific journals, conferences and training courses in the field of technologies applied to education and socio-occupational integration, mainly.

Some of the awards that our colleague has received for his research work are:

  • “Young Researchers of the Rey Juan Carlos University” Award, TFM category, 2011.
  • eMadrid Award 2012 for the best TFM, 2012.
  • Finalist for the best educational app for teachers in SIMO Education 2013 with the DEDOS project, 2013.
  • Winner of the best ICT project in inclusive education, equality and diversity in SIMO Education 2014 with the DEDOS project. October 2014.
  • Third prize in the "VII Research and Innovation Award on people with intellectual disabilities of AMPANS", 2016.

From his time at the university, he remembers how much it cost him to pass the five Mathematics subjects on the first call. And that since the first year of his career he has made friends with a group of colleagues with whom he works very comfortably and with whom he is obtaining very good results as a team.

“Having a good team is much easier to get things out than if you go alone and crazy. In the end, with perseverance, all the subjects are taken”
